Every miner who makes it through finds the same thing waiting at the bottom. Not gold. A fire, and other people around it. This is where we gather after the descent. Pull up a stone. Stay a while.
Why a campfire
The work is hard. Nobody should do it alone.
Learning to mine for agreement is not a thing you finish. It is a practice, and some days the rock is harder than others. The campfire is where we keep each other going. Stories from the tunnels. What worked, what collapsed, what we are still digging through. A little light to carry back into your own hard conversations.
If anything in the mine has helped you, this is how you stay close to it, and to the people walking the same path.

Where to find us
Gather round.
The Substack
The long-form fire. Essays from the tunnels, the thinking behind the mine, and the stories that do not fit anywhere else. This is the deepest seat at the fire.

The purpose of the mine was never gold. The purpose was each other.
WHAT WAITS AT THE DEEP CAMPFIRE
Add your own whisper
One day, the voice in the wall will be yours.
Every miner who passes through leaves something for the next. A lesson. A warning. A small piece of gold they found in the dark. When you have walked the mine and stood in your own hard conversations, you will have wisdom worth leaving too.

Lean close. Then, when it is your turn, speak.
